Segal AmeriCorps Education Award: After successfully completing a term of service, AmeriCorps members who are enrolled in the National Service Trust are eligible to receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award. You can use your Segal AmeriCorps Education Award to pay education costs at qualified institutions of higher education, for educational training, or to repay qualified student loans. The award is $4,725 for a year of full-time service, and is prorated for part-time. The Student Award Program of FSD helps to increase opportunities in science, engineering, mathematics, technology, and pre-medical/dental areas for graduate or professional students with disabilities. FSD has established a Science Graduate Student Grant Fund, which is available to fourth year undergraduates (who are disabled and have been accepted to a graduate or professional school in the sciences) and graduate science students who have a disability. Awards of $1000 each are made to qualified college or university students with a disability in any field of Mathematics, Science, Medicine, Technology, or Engineering. Awards are given for an assistive device or instrument, or for some other special need.

National AMBUCS, Inc. awards scholarships to therapy students in their junior/senior year in a bachelor's degree program, or a graduate program leading to a master's or doctoral degree.

Awards range from $500 to $1,500 annually. There is one two-year award in the amount of $6,000. Students must be accepted in an accredited program by the appropriate health therapy profession authority in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, and hearing audiology. Assistant programs are not eligible.

Awards are based on financial need, US citizenship, commitment to local community, demonstrated academic accomplishment, character for compassion and integrity, and career objectives.

NFB gives 30 scholarships to recognize achievement by blind scholars. All applicants for these scholarships:

  • must be legally blind, and
  • must be pursuing or planning to pursue a full-time, postsecondary course of study in a degree program at a United States' institution in the 2008 scholastic year, except that one scholarship may be given to a person employed full-time while attending school part-time, and
  • must participate in the entire NFB national convention and in all scheduled scholarship program activities.

The Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant Program (OTAG) is a need-based grant program for Oklahoma residents who attend eligible colleges, universities and career technology centers in Oklahoma. Awards are approved for full-time or part-time undergraduate students.

Currently, the maximum annual award is the lesser of 75 percent of enrollment costs or $1,000 for students attending public colleges, universities or career technology centers, and $1,300 for students attending eligible private colleges or universities. One-half of the award is disbursed in the fall semester, and one-half is disbursed in the spring semester. Funds are released to eligible students by campus officials after eligibility has been confirmed.
