GDUI is a peer support network and membership organization which promotes acceptance of blind people and their guide dogs, works for enforcement, expansion and standardization of laws admitting guide dogs into public places, advocates for quality training and follow-up services, publishes an audio magazine, "Pawtracks". GDUI's free product catalog, which lists items available for sale, is available in braille, large print, cassette and IBM disk. Making Impressions: A Handbook for the Prospective Guide Dog Handler is available in alternative formats and is available free of charge in GDUI's 2003 catalog. Eye Dog Foundation was organized as a non-profit corporation in 1952. Ever since that time, it has been dedicated to giving guide dogs to the blind and the visually impaired at absolutely no cost to them. Their German Shepherd dogs have been assisting blind individuals all over the world with their daily travels. The dogs provide guidance and safety, as well as loving companionship.
