Interpreter Services Program

The Interpreter Services program provides sign language interpreters and
real-time captioning to assist Vocation Rehabilitation or Visual Services clients who are deaf, hard of hearing or
Deaf-blind. DRS contracts with interpreters who are certified through Registry
of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST).
Oklahoma Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST)
The Oklahoma Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST) is the method used by
the Department of Rehabilitation Services to evaluate the proficiency of
individuals interested in becoming employed as interpreters for the deaf in the
state of Oklahoma. Application
for testing can be downloaded or contact the QAST administrator.
