Appointees announced for DRS Commission
OKLAHOMA CITY –Commission for Rehabilitation Services Chair Ben C. White of
Lawton was recently elected to his second term as leader of the governing board
for the Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS). Dr. David Pittman, a
practicing pharmacist and business owner from Sulphur, was elected vice chair of
the commission. Ray F. Kirk of Muskogee, who was recently appointed, will serve
as a member of governing board.
Commissioner White owns and operates the Center of Good Health in Lawton, a
fitness and wellness center which offers physical and occupational therapy and
cardiac rehabilitation programs. A former director of the Comanche County
Memorial Hospital Foundation, he was previously employed as executive vice
president at Comanche County Memorial Hospital and as chief executive officer
for Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton, where he established the first
comprehensive rehabilitation program.
Commissioner David Pittman owns and operates Sooner Pharmacy in Sulphur, as well
as a small Angus cattle farm north of that city. He is the 100th president of
the Oklahoma Pharmacists Association and a member of the Sulphur City Council.
Commissioner Ray F. Kirk is a native of northeastern Oklahoma, who owns and
operates a 585-acre cattle and thoroughbred horse ranch southeast of Muskogee.
He was employed as a State Farm Insurance Companies agent for 32 years before
his recent retirement.
